Dr Graeme Penno
BVSc
Veterinarian
Dr Graeme graduated from Murdoch University in 1992. Since then he has worked in England and Perth in mixed animal practice before settling in Northam. Dr Graeme became a partner in Northam Veterinary Centre in 1999. Dr Graeme enjoys the diversity of his profession and has treated most animals, from sterilising a hamster to euthanising a lion. Dr Graeme has a number of fury friends including, 'Roxy' the Hunterway, 'Pepper' & 'Tom' the cats and a horse named 'Casper'. 


Dr Melody Ip
BVSc
Veterinarian
Dr Melody  originated from Hong Kong and has been in Australia since 2008. She graduated from Murdoch University in 2015. She has done various work placements during her studies including working at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and volunteer work at the HKASPCA. Dr Melody has settled into Northam with her "Furry Kids"  "Volar" a Labradoodle and "Vinca" a Burmese cat. Dr Melody works with both small and large animals
 
Dr Jim McMahon
BVSc
Veterinarian
Dr Jim grew up in Perth and spent four years at Muresk completing a Bachelor of Ag Business, before starting his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at Murdoch University. During this time he has travelled all over Australia, UK and Ireland working on farms and breeding centres. Dr Jim has a keen interest in livestock reproduction, including artificial insemination. He also enjoys kayaking and rugby. Dr Jim often works for for Northam Veterinary Centre on a locum basis.
 

 
Dr Ingrid Runeckles
BVSc
Veterinarian
Dr Ingrid graduated from Murdoch University in 1984, focusing on small animal medicine. Dr Ingrid has been part of the Northam Vet centre family since 1988. Recently returning after a long absence to have her three children. As her yougest is now in full time schooling, she is able to devote some of her time to her previous passions of veterinary science and ponies. Her extended furry family includes  welsh ponies and two wayward cats "Trouble" and "Smarty Pants".


Renee' Weeldenburg
Veterinary Nurse
Senior Nurse
Renee has over 30 years experience as a Veterinary Nurse having worked at a number of Equine and mixed animal practices during this time. Having been settled in the Avon Valley for some years Renee has been part of our team for more than 10 years. Her roles vary from Reception to Surgery nurse and most anything in between. When not at work Renee is kept busy running her small Morgan Horse stud “Crossmatch Morgans” where currently she has five horses including her most treasured Morgan  “Spike”.  While working at home with the horses Renee constantly receives the help from her canine companions, "Hayley" the Boxer cross Rhodesian Ridgeback, "Brandy" the Rhodesian Ridgeback.To complete the menagerie there is "Squirt" the cat.



Kylie Patterson
Veterinary Nurse
Kylie has been at the Northam Vet centre for 4 years, her roles vary from surgical and  hospital nurse to reception .She studied through Applied vocational training and has completed additional nursing studies in surgery, pathology and emergency medicine. She lives in Perth with her Husband and two dogs, "Bella" a Border Collie cross, "Fozzie" a naughty Terrier and two cats, Grumpy a British short hair and Skitty.


Kristen Smith
Veterinary Nurse
Kristen received her nursing qualification after studying distance learning through Box Hill Institute of Tafe, Victoria. Working full time whilst completing her studies, Kristen has worked in several Veterinary clinics around Perth, Avon Valley, Nhulunby and Port Headland. Kristen moved to the area in 2012 and enjoys pottering around her orchard and veggie patch, accompanied by her two German Shepherds, Bonnie and Angus, and a young cat Clyde who thinks he is a German Shepherd after he and his litter mates were raised by Angus. Her old rescue cat Sophie prefers the peace and quiet of her dedicated cat room. Topping of her menagerie are a few hens and "Roddy," the funky haired Rooster.

Jess Bell
Veterinary Nurse
Jess joined the practice early 2016 after recently getting married and moving to Northam. She comes with over 5 years experience and gained her qualification through Polytechnic West. She then went on to complete her diploma in general practice. She has two fur kids "Rocky" the Kelpie x Hunterway and "Mitzy" a Chihuahua cross.
